MooseFS is Open Source, fault-tolerant, highly available and performing, scaling-out, petabyte Network Distributed Storage / Distributed File System called Software-Defined Storage. MooseFS makes hundreds of physical commodity servers to be visible to the user as one virtual disk. It is POSIX-compliant and acts just like a regular UNIX-like (e.g. Linux) file system.
